The Family Clinic Hamilton is located at 39 Vercoe Road, Beerescourt in Hamilton. The practice aims to provide a quality, round-the-clock, seven-days-a-week free-doctor service. It will also empower people so they can enjoy the best health possible.

Services Provided Include: • Cervical smears and insertion of IUD ( Intra-Uterine Contraceptive Device). • Lead Maternity Care service provision • Miniature ear camera to record and show the condition of the ear to the parents/patients. • Electronic hearing test for children, including new born babies. • Nebulised medication and oxygen in cases of acute respiratory difficulty for support until further help is organised. • Eye sight testing including color vision testing. • Back of the eye exam using Panoptic Ophthalmoscopy. • Quit smoking including free nicotine patch/gum cards supply where required. • “Health through wisdom” Wednesday evening seminars for all to achieve their optimum health (summer 7-8.30 pm, winter 6-7.30 pm). • Oral Health Services • Electronic ECG (electrocardiograph) testing for heart checkups. • Doctor service available 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. With the addition of another Doctor the service will extend to 7 days a week. • A 24 hour 7 day a week triage service is available for urgent advice. • Transport for whom transport is a problem. • Home visits by doctor, counselor and nurse where required. • Automatic external defibrillation in cases of sudden heart attack to sustain patient while awaiting emergency services. • Binocular microscopic ear examination for ease of examination and cleaning of the ears. • Assessment of breathing/respiratory capacity by electronic spirometery. Checking of oxygen saturation of blood by using electronic pulse oxymeter. • 24-hour electronic blood pressure monitoring to determine the accurate status of those with persistent raised blood pressure. • Ultrasound examinations for quick diagnostic help in cases of abdominal problems and for pregnancy care. • Tympanometery to monitor fluid in the ears.
